Who is Scuba Capes and why are our (patent pending) capes the world’s best changing ponchos for men and women?
The scene…
You just had an incredible dive and it's time to change into some dry clothes…
Here's the problem – there are usually no comfortable places to change (soooo frustrating after such a great dive). But, back to the scene, your current choices are:
You can use a very dirty (and usually very smelly) bathroom that you don’t even want to step into with your shoes on, let alone put your bare feet on. And, omigosh, if your clothes touch that floor, SO gross!
Or, you can use your car's backseat but, let’s look at that option for a second. You’re soaking wet, your backseat isn’t that roomy (or long), has windows ALL around, and you need to: peel out of your wet & sticky swimsuit, dry off, put on your dry clothes and, all while worrying about someone walking by and seeing in the windows to witness you playing solo Twister in your backseat. All of the struggle, just as many laughs, but none of the fun. And, let’s be honest, how many people are flexible enough (and comfortable enough) playing backseat Twister.
Another option – You can open your vehicle door(s) and make a small 2-sided privacy shield. This might give the feeling of a little privacy but, anyone walking past can see through your vehicle or any one of the windows. Guys, you might be able to get away with it here but, ladies, well, the windows really don’t provide any privacy, do they (yep, I’m giggling)?
Lastly, there is the “honor method”. You change out in the open and yell, “Nobody look! I’m naked over here!!” That may have been cute when you were six but, at this point….well, you know, some things you just can’t unsee. Unless you and super fit, no one wants to accidentally see you in your birthday suit. Trust me… No….One…
I’m sure we’re all in agreement here, none of those options are appealing to any of us.
Okay, back to Scuba Capes! What if we told you that you COULD change out in the open, or anywhere for that matter: (1) without ever having to endure your friends’ laughter (or deal with their cries of agony) or, (2) face what could surely be a viral video because one of your friends thought it would be hilarious to capture you in your moment (yep, I have friends like that).
Enter, Scuba Capes, the world’s best changing poncho…
Designed by scuba divers because of their need to change in remote places, parking lots, public areas, dive holes, and crowded boats. Now, because of Scuba Capes, everyone can have their very own changing cape. Our cape is, by far, the best way to change out of wet clothes and into dry clothes without making everyone jealous (or wish they could unsee that).
Our capes are ginormous! The ample size allows for more than enough room for even the most rambunctious, raucous, or riotous person to wrestle with their straps, snaps, buckles, buttons, string ties, and clips. You name it, there is enough room under there to take care of it! Seriously! There is enough elbow room, bending room, outstretched arms room, and even duck your head in & under room. Just a lot of room to move and put yourself together, while standing right there where everyone can see! Yep, right there out in the open.
Our capes also have a few added features that make them the best and most needed addition to your gear bag:
It’s made from the softest, 100% cotton out there. That means you don’t need to bring a towel, and you can dry off as you are changing.
There are two pockets on the INSIDE of the cape to put your underclothes in ahead of time. Just one more privacy perk - no one really needs to know if you’re into boxers or briefs.
Next, it’s long enough (it falls below your knees) so this is the ultimate option for the ladies! Ladies can pull the cape up over their head to pull a shirt on, over their head, all while staying hidden under the cape! Woo-hoo!
Also, there are small hand-openings so you can slip your hands out to grab something outside of your cape if you need to. No one wants you to be au naturale while you're picking up your cape to grab something, exposing a big and very bright full moon.
Now you can see why our changing capes are the world’s best changing ponchos out there!
We'd love to have you join us on our mission to make changing in public easy, worry-free, and most-importantly, private!
